About Mount Vernon Rotary
Mount Vernon Rotary was established in 1921 and is one of the oldest Rotary Clubs in Washington state. The club currently has a membership of 50 men and women that are actively involved in meeting needs the Skagit Community and Rotary Service projects around the world.

MISSION STATMENT
Our mission is Literacy, Learning, Leadership and Service.
Mount Vernon Rotary Club is a service club that:
- Believes in the supporting literacy needs for children and youth throughout our region and the world.
- Looks forward to weekly educational and informative programs.
- Encourages enjoyable fellowship, positive relationships, and professional networking;
- Desires its members to be known as leaders in the community and wants to provide mentoring and training in developing leadership skills.
- Promotes the needs of emerging young adults as we do more in developing career fairs and an Interact Club.
- Desires to work in partnership with other community organizations to help build a healthier Skagit Valley.
- Provides numerous hands-on service projects to assist our community.
- Offers scholarship support to deserving youth as well as financial backing for pre-school children needing early learning.
- Informs the community of our projects, programs, and values.
- Believes strongly in international projects that promote educational pursuits, and want members to become more informed and aware of these projects.
- Has had successful growth with an annual auction and wants to provide strong leadership to encourage successful fund-raising.
- Wants members to be committed to the values of Rotary International, and at the same time have fun.
